[Web] Consider Taking Down Old OpenBeOS Sourceforge Website

Description
At https://sourceforge.net/projects/open-beos/, there exists the older hub that had been serving the Haiku website and other Haiku downloads for the longest time. What’s concerning now is that people are still downloading Alpha 4.1 releases from this site and may become confused on where the true Haiku homepage is. This site should at least have a notice of sorts for the new Haiku homepage.

Can we upload the new releases there? They then get mirrored to all sourceforge mirrors, which sounds like a good idea.

Logged in for the first time in years. I am 'just' a developer there, so I can't do much.

Seems like people are still accessing the site - Sourceforge says there were 13 downloads this week. Not a good situation considering the last time the files on there were updated was 2013!

You don't know why people are downloading these files. Maybe it's for historical reasons. Maybe it's just bots. Let's not make this more dramatic than it is.

That is true as well, though we should still consider mirroring our releases on there just so people have another place to download Haiku from.

I managed to miss this ticket entirely. Is there anything I should do? There doesn't seem to be a conclusion yet. There is already a link to the actual Haiku website.

I would say:
- Upload the new releases since alpha4 to the downloads area
- Switch status to "beta" (it still says "alpha")
- Maybe update the permissions to add a few more currently active devs as admins?
Apparently we should also "claim" https://sourceforge.net/software/product/Haiku-OS/ ?

I was also the one who came back after a few months. I have just updated this information. Currently I still access the web. But these downloads are somewhat a Sonic exe bit much. It is also very easy to be confused with the real Haiku homepage.
axeld and bga seem to have admin rights there, maybe one of them can take a look.
