#16252 new bug

KDL after disabling and enabling iprowifi3945 quickly

Description

On my HP nc6400 laptop equipped with a iprowifi3945 device I can somewhat reliably enter KDL by enabling or disabling the wifi device via Network Preferences. An example screenshot is attached.

After booting the machine if I open network preferences, select the ipro3945 device and disable it and enable it a few times eventually I'll end up in KDL. Sometimes it will happen the first time I enable it, other times I'll have to enable it a few times.

I'm not sure if it matters that the device is connected to a wifi network or how long the system has been running for.

I'm also not sure if it matters how long you wait between disabling the device and re-enabling it. I've mostly only been waiting a second or two at most.

This is probably a bug within the driver itself. I don't think many people on FreeBSD use this device (or at least quickly disable and enable it) so it may be up to us to look into a fix.

It appears to be a pretty standard NULL dereference. I may have time to look into things next week if nobody else gets to it first.
