This still happens with Haikuwebkit 1.9.4, despite having webfont support now - there is either another font-related tag that's not implemented, or some version string that Google rejects?

Do you run Beta 4 or nightlies? The needed code in app_server for #13361 is not available in Beta 4.

I run nightlies. Webfonts on other pages work great, but fonts.google.com still shows this same “your browser is not supported” page. Does it work for you? If so maybe it’s fixed in 1.9.6

This is just the site showing that message for some user agent strings. Removing the WebPositive/1.3 part or moving it to the end does not show it.
Under the big face and the list of supported browsers is a button "Return to Google Fonts". Clicking it shows the site even for us, just tested in nightly with haikuwebkit-1.9.5-1-x86_64.
Probably because Web+ does not support webfonts.
