Description

While playing YouTube videos from Web Positive after a few minutes usually slightly after pause/play or resizing the window .. I get a Haiku crash with the last screen debug line showing the Intel extreme driver. Screenshot attached with sc results. I also included syslog from the crash to identify the hardware.

This occurs with two versions of Haiku I tried : the R1/beta2 and a nightly recent ....

I'm opening this ticket against the driver as last code shown in the trace, so sorry if this crash is media player or Web Positive.

This one is probably fixed in https://review.haiku-os.org/c/haiku/+/2695.

Summary: YouTube/Webpositive crash with Intel HD 3000 GT2 rev 9 Sandy Bridgeapp_server: Crash in ShapePainter::~ShapePainter free

How would that be? Looking through the diff, I don't see any changes to shapes...

This seems very probably related to the crash in #15728 however.

Hi Thanks for investigating. I got a very similar backtrace with latest nightly build hrev54402 as all the functions in the backtrace were the same so no need to post.

I will add various combinations of resizing the YouTube window and moving the time tends to trigger the crash but I'm not able to immediately cause the crash with a certainty.

Anyone can still reproduce this? Or did the various fixes to app_server in the last year solve it?

comment:7 by Coldfirex, 4 years ago

I can't on hrev55112 because every youtube video says "your browser can't play this video." Same goes for DailyMotion, Apple Trailers, vrv.co etc. Should I test via a different method?

I am then closing this as "not reproducible" for now. We can revisit it when Youtube works again.
