#16393 new bug

Unable to boot with Radeon video card

Reported by: mrentropy Owned by: kallisti5
Priority: normal Milestone: Unscheduled
Component: Drivers/Graphics/radeon_hd Version: R1/beta2
Keywords: Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Platform: All

Description

As of rev 54415, unable to boot. Instead of going to desktop, the white debugging screen is displayed. Stack trace indicates a problem with the Radeon driver.

Workaround: select safe video mode at boot (was not needed before this rev)

This is on a 64-bit system, but brunobastardi indicates it happens on his 32-bit system (with Radeon_HD).
