Description
MediaPlayer produces artefacts on certain .avi files, and the sound is sometimes not in sync with the video. I've noticed the sound situation gets better after closing the file and waiting a bit, but the artefacts remain.
Steps:
- Download this file from here: [1]
- Play it in MediaPlayer
'ffplay' plays the file without any issues, crystal clear, no sound problems. File and the debug log from Terminal are in the link above.
Plus, I've tested MP with a bunch of video files, and attaching the logs as well. The files can be downloaded from [2]. There are MediaKit errors in the log files, they do not always affect the playback but they are present nevertheless. Logs are recorded for:
- Opening the file through Terminal
- Playback
- Jumping to different file locations in MP
- Adjusting the volume

Tested with hrev54601 x86_64. Audio is out of sync from the beginning. Stopping play and relaunching MP, audio is back in sync.
