Brightness not working in Thinkpad X250

Description

I can't control brightness in my Thinkpad X250, it's always at full (Which can drain the battery). I can't control it in screenmode, nor with the Fn keys nor in the display settings

Please include some more information:

  • Does the brightness slider show in the display settings or not at all?
  • What is the PCI vendor and device id of your video card? If unsure, please attach the complete output of the listdev command
  • Please also attach a syslog, as it can have some extra info about how the display is connected to the videocard
