Description
Source: SSD Target: NVMe Machine: Ryzen, bare metal.
Story: I have a disk filled with a *large* amount of data. I tried selecting all of the folders and dragging them to the new disk. Tracker spent about 3 minutes with an empty "Calculating" window before I finally cancelled it and ran an rsync from the command line.
The user feedback here could be improved at minimum. Showing a "tally" for the amount of data it's calculated or something would go a long way in "seeming faster"
In my use case, I have a write speed of several GiB/s and a read speed of several hundred MiB/s... so the delay makes Haiku "look slow"
Try running "profile -f ..." and seeing where it is spending all that time.
