Description
there is no audio output of any kind on this revision, the system is x86_64, I have tried 3 sounds cards, 2 different motherboard all with the same results. I get no analog output at all. Yes I have pyhsically verified that cabling and I can play audio from other sources on the analog input of the amplifier in question.
HDA does not work, and ICE 17 does not work, and both worked at beta 2.
what information is needed to resolve this ?

Maybe related to your comments in #16491? If you still have syslog dating of when it was working, it could also help.

HdA is fixed, when I get time later this week I will test out the fix's and see if they effect the ICE 1712 envy chipset as well.
You wouldn't have tried different motherboards, I would have think about headphones presence as they can shut other outputs down...
Are you seeing devices in Media preferences app?
Is it on a fresh install, on a live cd or an updated install? In the last case, I would backup files in /boot/home/config/settings/Media delete the folder content and reboot/restart media server. I would also try the previous states I have to see if they work better.
Anyway, I guess that the output of listdev command to see what device it is and a clean syslog to see if there's a problem during initialisation would be a good start.
