Does running ffmpeg -i Bali_2004.avi crash?

ffmpeg -i Bali_2004.avi works!

Better to drop MediaConverter? It does not work! Better to use FFmpeg for this! At least for the Beta 4 release!?

No. MediaConverter still works in converting AVI files to MPEG4 (I just tested it on hrev56645 x64 with A/V playback using MediaPlayer). What AVI files are you processing and how are they encoded (if known)?

Probably a duplicate of #17415.

Hard to be sure because there is no backtrace in the debug report.

Milestone: UnscheduledR1/beta5

Please retry after hrev56725 and attach an updated debug report.

MediaConverter looks like it converts the file, but I am not sure if I got the right file. I forgot where I put it. So I have to look for the original file first!

but at least it works! But the file crashed VLC... So I have a VLC debug output only, which I attached...

Ok, thanks for testing. So this was indeed the same problem as #17415.

The generated file will not be correct because of the next problem, #18233. Let's keep all the info about the remaining problem there.
