trying to boot on my schenker slim 14 also if i try to set the resolution manually haiku will crash with: appserver: Finding best mode for 800x600 (8, 60Hz) failed package_daemon [...] app_server: Use 2576x118 (8) instead

no syslog generated so i guess there is also some troubles with accesing the haiku usb drive

I think this the same issue I've been trying to track down on my laptop. It seems app-server decides that the mode needs to be changed even if we are using a UEFI framebuffer. So it tries to do that with VESA calls, which will not work with a UEFI framebuffer.
Probably due to hidpi screens and the calculated frequency being out of range for being considered as valid modes.
