Description

Before Beta 3 is released we should update the online user guide page for Workshop Wireless Network https://www.haiku-os.org/docs/userguide/en/workshop-wlan.html to reference FreeBSD 13 https://www.freebsd.org/releases/13.0R/hardware/#wlan since it will be synced with that release now.

Done. It'll hit the website/welcome package when we export from the online tool when Beta3 hits.

Please put the "All supported modern wireless hardware works out of the box." text into an informativ box in the "Getting supported hardware to work" section.

Too many people mounted as write only already.

RTL8192EE unsupported till date...rtwn4 will not work with this card...pl. mention this explicitly...may be it will save some money for those who might be planning to buy it for use on Haiku....

Please put the "All supported modern wireless hardware works out of the box." text into an informativ box.

I think that would sever the connection to the next paragraph in the text. I also suspect that people recommending to download the firmware pack for modern hardware don't read the User Guide anyway, with or without an info-box...
I did emphasize a bit more now that you don't have to download/install any additional firmware for modern hardware.

RTL8192EE unsupported till date...rtwn4 will not work with this card...pl. mention this explicitly.

This kind of information would mean to start maintaining a list of un/supported cards that usually quickly gets out-of-date. Better to point to FreeBSD's list of supported hardware (and maybe put the models where Haiku diverges from that into the release notes).

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
