Description
More of a wishlist item than an enhancement request. Once the webkit port is ready, would it be possible to use webkit to display HTML-formatted email?

Besides, mail is for mail (as in plain text), not browsing the web. As for me it's a won't fix :p It's other's MUA you must fix to not send html (and AOL users to learn what mail is).

Beam... 3rd party... um, oops. Please close this stupid ticket before more people look at it. :o
As for mail formatting, I truly believe we'll accomplish mmu_man's goal of 100% text only email... on the same day Haiku replaces the last copy of Windows still running in the world. :p

I have taken notice and will watch the progress of webkit ... BUT:
Regarding the use of HTML e-mail, I am with mmu_man 100%, it is no good, esp. with respect to ugly tricks like webbugs and other means to track if recipients have read a specific mail.
All I would ever accept is filtering out all external content and simply render the enclosed HTML page. Dunno if that is easily possible with webkit, though.
Well, I close this bug now. Please ping me again (via beam.sourceforge.net) when webkit is available and you still want that HTML support ;-)
But you know that Beam is a third party application? Unlike "Mail" for example? :-)
