Description
When a blog post or news item is posted, a preview shows up under the Activity tabs on the website home page (see attached). It would be good if Events would show up the same way when a new event is created - this way upcoming events are more visible.

I don't think this is really a good idea. What if there is an event that is upcoming for many months? The sidebar is probably the best way to manage this.
