Hi Vidrep, can you also grab a syslog? This driver should have been working (tested it on this chipset myself long time ago..) Looks like the kerneldriver already crashes when opened, while trying to map the register area. I think it's opened first by app_server when it's starting. Never seen a zero sized register area before (?)

Unfortunately I had to give that PC back to a friend. However, for what it’s worth, I was able to install an older version of Haiku without any issues (hrev52342). I could borrow it back to do more investigation, maybe in a week or two.
Please try blacklisting the VIA driver.
