Almost the same HDA controller as https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/17297 so potentially the same source issue.

Could be related to a blacklisted hda-driver. Do not have the laptop here atm.

Sorry I tested the wrong Laptop This Laptop in question I cannot trst right now, it is my son's Laptop and not here atm...

Device 9d70 is running nice Device 9d71 I dont know atm...

Sounds now working with an Intel (PCI vendor 8086) Sunrise Point-LP HD Audio (PCI Device 9d70) on hrev55845.

Can we close this, or should we wait until someone retests 9d71?
