Pkgman fails to update with "Interrupted system call" error

Description
I'm using Haiku in a virtual machine (VMWare Workstation 16 Player on Windows) - and updating packages with pkgman in Terminal will often fail with the message "Failed to download package [packagename]: Interrupted system call".
I've attached screenshots showing the error message as well as the output of pkgman list-repo.
