#17474 closed bug (fixed)

No audio after cold boot on Thinkpad x220

Description

Booting Haiku (hrev55732, x86_64) directly after power-on (cold boot) gives no audio. Double-click on an mp3 file plays the file, but the Laptop remains silent. After booting Windows or FreeBSD, sound plays normally in Haiku, albeit at maximum level the sound is distorted, I need to go down to -7db before everything sounds good.

Please check with hrev55842 or newer.

Tested with hrev55845. Slight improvement, no sound at startup, but after a right-click on the speaker (the small one in the Tracker) sound starts. But playback of mp3 stutters now massively.

Also the gain slider in sound mixer settings display integer values (e.g. -326 or 3467) instead of db values as tooltip (but I guess this is a different topic).
