Description (last modified by bruno)

I tried to copy 5 video files (.avi) from Haiku to USB 3 drive... the 3rd file did not copy to the USB drive and Haiku hangs on it.. After this I get crashes every time I try to access the USB drive.

Maybe it is because copy from BeOS formatted Drive to FAT drive?

Haiku could not copy the file and the file is not closed correct?

This is on Haiku nightly 64bit hrev: 55792 on USB 3.0 drive.

I saw this problem some time ago.

If you get this happening again, please run "syslog | tail 30" at the KDL prompt.

Somehow the USB disk driver is running into errors trying to write to the disk. Perhaps the disk is going bad somehow, if it worked previously?

Can you access this drive under some other OS and run a filesystem check on it?

Haiku Beta 3 nightly was on the USB-Drive where I tried to copy files to another USB-Storage...

Now the Haiku USB is corrupt and I cannot start Haiku. The Haiku partition does not show up anymore on my other Haiku Laptop.

The USB-Stick with Haiku on it does not boot anymore... The second partition and the UEFI partition are left only...
