The Media replicant shows "Sounds preferences." This is not only Awkword, but it is grammaticaly incorrect.
Proper labels for this selection would be:
Sounds
Sound Preferences

Sounds preferences trips the tongue and indicates a ptreferences control that afects all sounds at once , ie making the sounds increase in volume over the time of the sound file or streatching out the sounds by a spacific percentage or time frame.
This Sounds pannel allows one to set a different sound for any spacific action or notification.
Sounds or Sound preferences would indicate the actual function of the panel.

"Sounds" works as a title within the Preferences parent group, but what it actually is is "Sound Preferences".
IMO "Sounds preferences" is correct. The name of the preferences is "Sounds" not "Sound". It's used to configure system sounds, if it controlled the sound, I'd expect sliders for treble, base or a graphical equalizer.
