Description

Hello I have installed HaiKu on a PC phenom 3 cores along with a wifi board atheros AR9227, and shortly after connecting to the router the system freezes. I found reading in the forums that could be the SMP along with the driver, and I decided to try it by disabling the SMP in the boot options, and it works. Attached to the ticket the syslogs produced and any tests or more information you need, just say.( I speak Spanish, and I newbie in haiku) Thank you. hrev56129 AMD Phenom 2.11Ghz Mother N68-S

KDL will probably be needed to determine what is deadlocking.

Please retest under the latest nightly. If it still freezes, see if you can enter KDL by pressing Alt+SysRq+D. If you can, and you can still type at the white prompt which appears, please let me know if you would have some time to join IRC/Matrix so I can walk you through collecting the needed information to diagnose the problem.

I retested with hrev56164 from a flash drive and it had problems with the video driver (I think, from what I read on the screen), I managed to get to KDL after the rocket. O tried to start un secure mode and deactivate Nvidia drivers, without results. I will retest later. So in order to continue testing I went back to hrev56129. I got a ps/2 keyboard to make sure I have a keyboard inside the KDL (the old one was USB and I was afraid it wouldn't work)... With SMP disabled, I tried going into KDL and back out, to see if it would work, and yes it does. With SMP enabled, I tried to connect WiFi, and open applications that do not use the network, and the system works, I could see the syslog from the console with "cat syslog" and enter and exit KDL and it did not give problems, I tried to open webpositive and almost It immediately froze, in that state I tried to enter KDL and it did not respond... I can make time, my work takes me the morning and part of the afternoon, and I live in Argentina (GMT/UTC - 03:00 hour) but I don't know how to use IRC/Matrix, but I created an account in Element, and it works slow in the browser, could be usable. (I have Telegram, if it helps). I hope to be of help, in some way. Greetings.

USB keyboards should work in KDL in most circumstances but it is indeed not as reliable as PS/2 ones.

That's pretty bad that you can't enter KDL when the system hangs. I guess it could possibly be another instance of the AMD-related system freezes, but I've not had luck in the past trying to track down hangs like this unfortunately, so I may not be able to suggest many things to try :/
