Description
I just ran the 32Bit-Iso of Beta 4 TC0 on my Thinkpad T41.
There are a few problems with the icons on the desktop.
1.) they can't be moved.
2.) when the size is 32x32px and you press alt+'-' they vanish.
Pressing alt+'+' won't bring them back.
The same happens, when they are 128x128 and you hit alt+'+'
3.) I did have icons "fall off the screen" on the right, but I can't reproduce it.

Might be related to this commit of hrev56399. At least there were changes in the area. Can you test if it worked before that hrev?

I can't reproduce the very first issue at least: icons can be moved just fine here both on TC0 and on my nightly install.
The second issue I can reproduce at least.

I think I found something :)
My Thinkpad has two sets of mouse-buttons. One for the trackpoint. One for the touchpad.
I can only move the icons when button-press and cursor-movement come from the same device.
I hope you can loosen the filtering here, as newer Thinkpads only have physical buttons for the trackpoint. And some useless clickpad-thingy for the touchpad...

I think that's a long-standing issue in general that has nothing to do with Tracker, but I can't really remember.

Marking this as a duplicate of #18066. The other input-related issue is not a Tracker problem, likely a separate ticket should be opened for it (however I suspect there already is one, somewhere...)
Also happens with the 64 bit Beta 4 TC0 iso, you can only get the icons back by choosing a certain size in the right-click context menu.
