Lag spikes every 3-5 seconds with JLab GO Talk microphone plugged in

Description

Under beta4, I get a lag spike every few seconds, for about one second, while the following device is plugged in:

0d8c:0030 /dev/bus/usb/0/12 "C-Media Electronics, Inc." "JLab GO Talk" ver. 0201

Syslog is attached.
