It also looks kinda strange for /dev/disk/ata/2/master/2_2. That's just a FAT partition. I don't understand why there is a - (collapse) there.
I'm attaching an image showing how it looks in GParted.
BTW I find it practical that you can graphically see occupied/free space in GParted.

Interesting. I think this is actually a corner case of the layout implementation. Ingo, care to have a look? Maybe we should write a test application that hardcodes the view weights that would result ekdahl's partition layout and see what happens.
