User (nick)name lenght issue on HaikuDepot server

Dear admininstrators of HaikuDepot server !

Could you, please, adjust user (Nick) name lenght -- increasing the max number of characters acceptable for user accounts ?

As for humdinger's request on Haiku forum I wanted to give rating and experience for some installed apps, so I wanted to have a user account that enables to be logged in on HaikuDepot that is a requirement to give ratings.

I filled out the registration form , but my usual (Nick/user) name became too long to complete registration. Evidence attached to ticket.

Please adjust the lenght of max lenght (number of characters) of user accounts .

I would suggest to check out forum and/or ticketing system settings -- as both enabled for me to use the same nick/user name and maybe others also would like to use the same user name for their Haiku related services .

I replaced the file - it was ssome edition in Wonderbrush to highlight stuff and erase my e-mail address, seems it corrupted the .png format. against its name it was possibly another maybe in wonderbrush file format. Now I reedited the original screenshot with ArtPaint and that I could open from attachement - so you could as well. Earlier I had deleted the wrong attached file - do not afraid it is the good file against the same name.

I would like to use KitsunePrefecture : it is 17 characters long if I counted well with mouse cursor and moving by two characters.

Haiku itself has a B_OS_NAME_LENGTH of 32 characters, seems that makes sense as the upper limit here, too?

HDS version 1.0.147 will carry this change and I've let the admin team know it's ready to be deployed. This will mean you can use your 32 character nickname when signing up from the web-console. I will have to make a tweak to the desktop application to allow this which I will do soon.

I failed to compete as now my password was not accepted. For password requirements -- in the desription -- my pssword matched as usually,. Maybe the settings does not allow non alphanumeric characters ?
