Sidebar with previews for more icon sizes

Adding a sidebar at the right hand side whith previews for all icon sizes up to 64px plus 256px (Icon-O-Matic)

The smaller sizes is where this is really needed, above 64 they all look virtually the same, so only the bigger one will suffice. Alternatively, the 256px could be the main editing view, and leave the sidebar just for the previews up to 64, this will be more efficient UI wise. The important part about this is to be able to see the effect of your actions in all this sizes at once. Right now I have to check the changes in DiskProbe, via Menu > Attributes > BEOS:ICON and also putting the icon in LaunchBox. This means having to:

• do a change
• save
• go to DiskProbe window
• move the slider to refresh the rendering
• or move the slider until the desired size
• see that the change that looks ok at 16px looks horrible at 24px
• pull your hair
• go to LaunchBox (DiskProbe lacks the 20px size, go figure why)
• change the size via Context Menu > Settings > Icon Size > select some other size
• change again the size via Context Menu > Settings > Icon Size > return to the 20px size

(this previous two steps just to refresh the rendering)

• see that it looks meh at 20px
• sigh
• return to Icon-O-Matic
• undo the change
• scratch your head for a minute
• try something else
• rinse and repeat

• zuMi mentioned that he wanted to be able to select what size is shown in the edit view, not just the 64px one, to have better control of what you do when using LODs to restrict the changes to some specific sizes.

I think that this can be combined with the sidebar previews: clicking on each preview size selects what size is shown in the edit view. And if the sidebar can be a vertical tab bar, that will be the icing in the cake.
