Description
Booted Successfully from live DVD of the ISO image. Proceeded to use the installation icon on the desktop to install to the hard drive. Installation completed without any problems. Proceeded to reboot PC and made it to the start-up graphical splash image. All of the icons appearing in gray below the logo made it to changing to color. Then the error message window shown in the included image file appeared, and the system was not responsive (locked up) to any keyboard or mouse input (even Ctrl+Alt+Del). I have also included a text file of my system info as displayed from MX Linux booted from another partition on same hard disk.

Summary: | Live CD works fine. Hard disk installation does not finish booting. → NULL dereference in device_manager invoked from USB stack |

Possibly related to #18531. However, more likely the device node was just never initialized.

Can you type at the prompt? If so, can you run syslog | tail 30
, take a picture of that, and attach it here, please?
