WebPositive crashes in WebCore::TimerBase::heapDecreaseKey

Description (last modified by diver)

Ahoy,

Seems I have a different cause too that was fixed for others, with latest haikuwebkit release (1.9.10), as i have 3 new crash reports about WebPositive bumped into some halting issue -

I hesitated a bit before I opened this new ticket, as my previous ticket was closed a bit quickly, before asked: has the new fixed browser engine solved your problem?

Anyhow, finally I changed my mind and opened to know exactly: is any of my act causing this crashes? or some other bug or config issue still exists?

Could you check it, please?

I forgot to mention :

Opened sites were Haiku related : Home + Forum + Gerrit + Trac

Mostly happened when selected Forum tab.

Google related : Translate + Mail

Generally no crashes at all (I use Gmail in html version), Translate quite simple (until now)- so rendering and navigating should not cause issues - as generally I do not have problems while using -- even when some sites/pages were translated. No issues I could report to you as I do not extra services in it. Especially as Web+ used mainly for Haiku related stuff.

This is a bug in haikuwebkit. All 3 crash reports point to this one bug.

Please clarify previous changes in latest refactoring of the ticket. I accept the bug is in a Haiku system service basically, but haikuwebkit actual solution has relation to it.

Does it mean : a possible fix postponed ... e.g. until release Haiku R1 ?..

.. or is it possible some other choice or workaround ?

Can I do something to prevent it ?

The problem is not in the WebPositive application but in WebKit. So the ticket was moved to the WebKit component.

It affects all platforms (unless proven otherwise) so the platform was set to "all".

What was changed was not the "milestone" (when the ticket will be fixed) but the "version" (where this problem was seen).

It will be fixed when someone has time to look into it and find what exactly the problem is. It will be very helpful if you find a webpage that makes it crash in a predictable way 100% of the time.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
