#18850 closed bug (not reproducible)

KDL: page fault in packagefs_lookup

Reported by: WildKeccak Owned by: bonefish
Priority: normal Milestone: Unscheduled
Component: File Systems/packagefs Version: R1/Development
Keywords: Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Platform: All

Description

While mass installing games on HaikuDepot, sometimes HaikuDepot crashes, leading to Tracker, if that's the name for the system on the right, to be unusable. I get an interactive panic when I try to manually shutdown. I have a screenshot.

Maybe the issue is more manifest when installing the little games.

I don’t know if I can get to the system folder via the Haiku volume icon either. It happened again. I got a link-could-not-be-resolved popup on what I hope was the trash, but may very well be the Haiku volume. Shortly before another KDL. I can’t cut the power right now because it’s a laptop.

This bug is already stale and incongruent. HaikuDepot is now generally buggy, not generally unstable. Thus the bug is not congruent with the current state of the software.

Resolution: not reproducible
Status: newclosed

packagefs does use WeakReferenceable so I guess hrev57645 might have affected something here, though I can't see what. But if this isn't reproducible then there's no sense keeping it open either way.
