VVVVVV hangs when the Flat ControlLook is used

Description

When the Flat ControlLook is used, VVVVVV runs but no window is shown and needs to be killed. Running it via the Terminal does not show anything.

This was known for a long time beforehand, but other higher priorities came up which pushed this aside until now. This still affects Haiku as of the hrev57671 Nightly.
