Description
Installed this Radeon card hoping for something than 1024x768 safe mode. The system hangs on the red rock during boot. I can boot safe mode ok.

Yes this system was set to EFIBOOT. I had it configured that way with the onboard intel video.

The problem may be due to booting with EFI, but there are other open tickets about that with this driver.

btw... I did what you suggested out of my own stubbornness, and "it worked"! Thank you very much.

Update 9/9/2024 -> I installed the video card in a separate machine that had a core duo processor and no embedded video support. The card worked fine in this machine. I am able to get 2560x1440 @ 60Hz. This ticket can be closed as far as I am concerned. The video card didnt work when installed in a dell Inspiron 660 using Haiku. It did work with the Dell and Linux...but that is beside the point.
