Description

Good day,

Running Haiku on BM-UEFI: Haiku shredder 1 hrev58289 Oct 30 2024 06:02:14 x86_64 x86_64 Haiku

Setup: Several computers sharing a single keyboard and trackball through a SABRENT USB 2.0 switch (SUS). The SUS, though 2.0 is connected to the USB 3.1 ports of both the Arch and Haiku boxes, as well as to a laptop dock.

Issue:

  • working on Haiku after booting on Haiku (when powering up the Haiku box, SUS changes to the Haiku port)
  • switch to another computer through the SUS switch renders KDL comming up
  • KDL can not recover as comming back to the Haiku box through SUS results in no input

Reproducible: Any time that running on Haiku try to change to another computer through SUS

KDL (later add img): PANIC: USB object did not become idle! Thread 22 "usb explore" running on CPU 2
