General font insensitivness!

I'm sorry not to make this bug in the first place, trashing bugzilla with every not font sensetive app. Almost every app/pref in Haiku now (except maybe 2-3 apps) is plagued by this "gui bug". To see it simply set maximum(18) font size in Fonts and you'll see what i mean. It would be great if app_server/Interface kit would take care of it itself, if it possible.

One of those truely font sensetive app is Screen, it almost look 100% OK with 18pt. font size.

Yes, that's true... but since this isn't something that would break R1 compatibility (or shouldn't?) why not just go ahead and have Haiku be smart enough to know how to handle huge font sizes? Just my 2 cents.

It would be cool if Stephan A?mus could take care of it as he already amazingly did with ​http://www.haiku-os.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=167. What do you think, stippi?

If I had enough spare time, it would be an option. Being it as it is, I cannot promise anything (especially since there are so many other things to do yet). My personal opinion is to have layout management in R1 and have all the apps that come with it use it... don't know if that will happen though, but I know someone to pester about it... :-)

I'm closing this bug now - a lot has happened since then, and there are still some open bug tickets remaining for specific apps. If there are more problems, please report them in a new ticket each.
