Description (last modified by )
Quake2 crashes on load if this is running. Tested by killing media_server + media_addon_server before run, and Quake2 loads correctly. I'd be able to give more information if gdb could attach to the process. (The user friendly debug/close alert doesnt do anything), and for some reason on this box, I cant run gdb while quake2 is open/crashed.
Will try to get more details.

John this looks like the system is out of memory, probably also the reason why gdb fails to attach to the process.
Did you change any source file, anything related to memory?

I was running on a 16mb heap (rather than 32mb), thats the only change to stock Haiku. (axelds change meant most things wouldnt run on my system)
Someone else reported the same problem in #haiku, i'll see if they have any more info.

Still occurs in hrev17356. More info: I'm now running with 256mb memory, this is a vanilla build, the problem still occurs within BList::CountItems. Leaving media_server running is ok, turns out media_addon_server causes the problem

I just tried Quake2 and it loads fine with the media_server and media_addon_server running. This two year old ticket can probably be closed now.

Thanks for testing! Please someone reopen if I closed prematurely and there is still something else.
