Description
While checking out Haiku's subversion tree for the first time (from Haiku VMWare image haiku-pre-alpha-hrev29127-vm running on VirtualBox) I experienced the above error (see the title).
I can't attach "sc" output since it freezed. but I can attach a screenshot of the first KDL screen.

I see you also have problems in #3428. The garbled chars might hint at memory corruption, could you try run memtest on your system to see that everything is ok. It's found on Ubuntu's boot-cds and also can be burned to bootable cds for free. http://www.memtest86.com/

Remember that its a virtual machine. Its virtual box but, just in case it was something wrong with it that caused memory corruption I ran a memtest on that vm and it went fine without errors.

There's a chance that hrev34655 fixes the problem. Closing. Please reopen if the issue persists.
