Touchpad Tap click sensitivity

Reported by: bbjimmy Owned by: czeidler

Description

Running hrev33164 on eeepc 900 hd, I cannot turn off touchpad tap. This is very anonying as the system seems to think the user is always clicking the mouse at the wrong time. closing apps and windows unexpectedly or opening folders instead of drilling to the desired folder.

chose mouse as there is no Touchpad under preferences.

What do you mean exactly? you have turned of the tab click and when you move over the touchpad there are click events? This is happenening also with full sensitivity? Are you able to do clicks when you want to do a click?

I move the Tap Gesture Tap Click Sensitivity slider all the way to the left (Off) and the system still thinks I am clicking the mouse while attempting to move the mouse pointer with the Touchpad.

I never attempt to click with the Touchpad, I use only the buttons to click.

I always turn off the touchpad click in Windows and never have this issue.

I ran into this too, it seems if you move it all the way off, it doesn't work, but if you move it *almost* to off, it actually turns it off.

I'll test this again on my AA1.

But the driver is working in principle? please be more precisely from your first post it sounds as if the driver produce tap clicks randomly. I also see the problem here and will fix it on begeistert / coding sprint.

sounds as if the driver produce tap clicks randomly.

That's what is happening, I try to drill down the file system and the system opens the wrong folder. I try to move a Window and the system hides the window. I try to navigate the Deskbar menu and the system opens the wrong application. I would say that the driver is producing mouse clicks randomly.

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

Please check my commit. I can reproduce it when I tap with a big finger width (small angel to the touchpad) It should be fixed now.
