#4791 closed enhancement (invalid)

Improve Touchpad preference panel layout

Description

This is hrev33599.

Touchpad's preference panel looks a bit cramped.
Maybe the Mouse preference panel could be used as a template. This would improve the look and make all more consistent.

The bold "Scrolling" and "Tap Gesture" aren't really needed IMO.

The Tap Click Sensitivity could use a try-out-area, like a light bulp that lights up when clicked.

The use of capital letters should be reviewed (in Mouse as well). I think the common practice is to just capitalize the first word, e.g. "Scroll acceleration" or "Two finger scrolling".

How about a bubble help for the "Two finger scrolling"? How does it work?

Are you on begeistert next weekend? Then we could go through it.

Unfortunately I had to cancel. :(

I think there where some rumors about merging mouse and touchpad preferences. If this is the case maybe we should wait till this is done?

comment:4 by humdinger, 15 years ago

The actual rumour is, that this merging "should" be done. I don't think anyone is currently actively doing so. :)
But you are right, it makes no sense to improve the panel now. Do you think we should mark the ticket "invalid" or could it be useful still, to point out areas that should be taken care of when the merging of panels is done?
