Description
How about a nice little sound effect when taking a screenshot? I'm sometimes not sure if I really did hit the print key right and it'd be even more handy when using a delayed shot: Did I catch what I wanted?
I can go looking for license compatible sounds if needed.

What about a notification with the info, where the screenshot is stored? (Including the filename of course) Instead of sound, which are generally a more stressing factor, imo. So you get notified when the screenshot is stored, and there's no need for a sound.

I think this ticket is from way back, when we only had BeOS-like screenshooting, i.e. silently doing a screenshot and saving it in the home folder.
Since we now have the screenshot window popping up, there's no question of if and where a screenshot is taken and saved. So the above would only be interesting when doing a 'silent' screenshot with SHIFT or CTRL + PRINT that won't show the screenshot window.
Then, I think I'd also prefer a notification (also not available back when this ticket was filed) over a sound. Clicking the notification's icon could open the Tracker window of the save location and select the new screenshot.

Yes, notification in the case where no window opens seems good, and sound seems not really needed.
Perhaps something like the iPhone's Screenshot Flash would be helpful as well for people who have their speakers muted? Not sure how technically possible this would be, but you can see what I'm talking about right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPEJIb1EWdk&t=9s
I think both of these should be optional though, and maybe the sound should disabled by default, as some people may be used to screenshot functionality on other operating systems where no sound is played (imagine if somebody was playing a video with their system volume on max [because the source video has low volume], and saw something cool in the video, so he decides to take a screenshot only to jump out of his seat from the loud unexpected noise).
