decrease boot time

Compared to R1A1, the boot time from splash screen to icons on desktop has increased from 7.5 to 12.5 seconds.

(18 drivers have been added since R1A1, but removing those seems to shave off merely half a second or so.)

Have you tested with serial debug output disabled? It was disabled in alpha 1 (and will be disabled in alpha 2, too), but is enabled in the trunk.

Disabling serial debug output shaved off another half a second, we're down to 11-11.5s now.

Can you recheck this with a recent Haiku build? We should not forget to disable it again for alpha3.
