This driver is using old methods according to it's author. Hence probably the lack of sound. HW == HP NC4010

and ... AFAIK Haiku doesn't support the old audio API.

The author responded that he will probably try to update the driver but didn't promise anything, it was more like, I guess it's up to me.

I'll be glad of course since I'm not sure to pay 200 euro for the Echo Indigo I/O which doesn't even have midi i/o : (

Maybe he could give could give code to our developers, so they could fix it, or even add to haiku?

No... You found "The Axe under the Bench" :-))) They are 2 weeks long in the project tree. :-)

There's only a readme file in /haiku/trunk/src/add-ons/kernel/drivers/audio/sis7018, some commit error
