Text truncation sometimes broken — at Initial Version

Description
When opening the attached mail, chances are good that the truncation is completely broken. It doesn't happen everytime, though, and I don't know if this is related to the truncation sometimes being off (as can often be seen in the Deskbar's window list when using the expander).
Assigning to mmlr as he worked last on that code if memory serves well.
