#7337 closed bug (fixed)

WebPositive adds bad BeOS type attribute.

Reported by: bbjimmy Owned by: phoudoin
Priority: normal Milestone: R1
Component: Applications/WebPositive Version: R1/Development
Keywords: Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Platform: x86

Description

If I download my access.log file from my haiku web server in WebPositive, it sets the filetype attribute to */*

This will prevent the file from opening properly unless I set the filetype or delete the attribute.

The same file downloads in BeZilla browser or through ftp ( Get-It ) without this issue. With the other programs no filetype attribute is set and the systyem identifies the file as text/plain when I attempt to open it.

WebPositive svn 573 and Haiku hrev40736 gcc4 hybrid

Until there is a binary of WebPositive with the change in it, the ticket should remain open.

Replying to bbjimmy:

If we were closing tickets only when the *product* is actually available to public, we'll never reach next milestone ;-) But you get a point, I'll see with mmadia & co how I can push a new package of web+.

Agreed, but this is not like code in the haiku source tree, I cannot just re-compile haiku and test the change. WebPositive is an optional package that needs to be updated to close this ticket.

I've built an up-to-date Web+ package and Matt will import it soon, but meanwhile you will find it here: http://philippe.houdoin.free.fr/haiku/WebPositive-gcc4-x86-r577-2011-03-12.zip

Please test it and confirm it does fix your/this issue.

Yes, WebPositive SVN 577 resolves the issue.
