Description
When i select a background image with a long name, the window of background selection becomes very wide (as you can see on the screenshot), till go out from the desktop. So i have to drag this to left side.

Most likely whenever Background was rewritten for layout/locale.

That's pretty funny. It shouldn't be too hard to set a max width on that menu field so the name is truncated in the window. Taking ownership.

Interesting. Background used to truncate the names in the Image popup. When did the behavior change?
