Go to /boot/beos/bin and look at CountView (152 items) You should see "items" word partialy erased.

Ok, now it makes sense :) Are you running haiku in 32 bit or 16 bit depth ?

I'm under vmware right now, so 16 bit.

Patch that truncates the text adding an ellipsis if necessary. It also uses the space of the "barber pole" when it is not present.

Are you joking, right ? The word items is just truncated because it doesn't fit into the view. Just enlarge the window and you'll see the entire word. I can't see any other problem related to that.
