#8032 closed bug (fixed)

WebPositive becomes unable to load pages; clicking many links in same site.

Reported by: HAL Owned by: nobody
Priority: normal Milestone: R1
Component: Applications/WebPositive Version: R1/alpha3
Keywords: Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Platform: x86

Description

  1. Open a website that can link to many other pages in the same site.
  2. Click on the links from page to page. (does not matter if in one tab or openning in new tabs)

Result: What I see is after quite a few links the pages wont load. What I expect is maintaing a reasonable speed for loading pages.

If many links are clicked on loading a new page in a new tab but from a different website there is no slow dow or failure to load.

  1. Open a different website in different tabs or same tab
  2. Keep doing this for many sites.

Result: there is no slow down or failure to load.

I was testing with R1alpha3 and webpositive 580.

This looks like it is fixed in WebPositive 583 and hrev43069.

As I wrote in comment 3 it seems to be fixed but sometimes very slow and have to click two or three times on a link to make the page load.

I am still seeing this bug in WebPositive 586, Haiku hrev44058. The bug did seem to be gone, as you said, but I did not test WebPositive enough until now. Please open it again.
