[print_addon_server] crash on adding 'Gutenprint Type' printer

Description

Occurred on hrev43550-2hn.

The print_addon_server crashed when I tried to add an HP LaserJet 1150 printer connected via usb.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open the Printers preflet and click 'Add' button.
  1. Fill in teh Add Printer dialog:
    • 'Printer Name:' can be anything
    • 'Printer Type:' select Gutenprint
    • 'Connected to:" select connected printer. In my case USB Port > Hewllett-Packard hp LaserJet 1150
  1. Click the now active Add button.
  1. An alert box comes up saying the print-addon-server has crashed.

If I choose "PCL5 Compatible" as the Printer Type, the printer is installed as expected.

hrev50006 x86_gcc2 Epson NX625 printer I have added this printer multiple times and have yet to experience a crash of the print-addon-server Maybe it has been fixed sometime in the past 4 years

I have more than one printer for testing, and always have to add a printer after a fresh install. I have not seen this problem ever. I think this ticket is safe to close.

Note: No crash issues on Haiku R1B2. Gutenprint 5.3 supports printer: HP LaserJet 1150 (hp-lj_1150)
