Description
I think in the program should be the card( tabs), as in the web browser; images, video codecs, audio codecs, text files, etc.
Thanks to this program will be more readable and intuitive to use.
It should also be able to create custom cards\tabs\bookmarks and drag there selected translators.
The program should also remember the original location of the translators. To be able to restore the default settings.
When installing K-Lite Codec Pack in Windows, I installs the various programs to manage codecs. So I have no artifacts in the displayed film. Simply change the libavcodec for Xvid decoder. Unfortunately, Haiku does not have such functionality.
I cannot describe it in english, but the film intersect lines in dynamic scenes, etc.

Do you mean the display isn't deinterlaced (like in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deinterlacing) ?
In these films there is no interlacing. The described effect intensifies in the Xvid transcoded movies. Should help to change the decoder from the libavcodec for Xvid.
But it also occurs in other formats and codecs.

I think Premislaus is speaking of tearing. I think that is mostly a driver issue, not respecting the vertical blank. I guess that's why moving windows also show tearing?
WRT to the ticket enhancement itself, I could imagine grouping types of Translators in tabs may become useful. Especially if we get more non-image-Translators. Another tab for codecs and renaming the panel to "Translators & Codecs" would also be nice, in general.
Don't know if making translators/codecs "de-activatable" (via checkboxes maybe?) is really needed. We should try to package the best codecs available in Haiku's base system, which should discourage the dreaded codec-pack mess...

Yes, what I meant!
People have a great need for free setup, and I think this way will be a good and simple.
Besides, with the time will be a lot of translators, concerning a similar things.
I think the arrangement of cards, tabs or bookmarks should look like; All, Images, Video, Audio, Documents, Unclassified, and further defined by the user (drag and drop).
In the file of translator should be required the tag (for automatic assignment).

I would use a BOutlineListView instead of tabs for this.

@pulkomandy Maybe close #9618 as a duplicate then? Or perhaps the other way around -- you decide.

Right. Whatever we decide on this, only one of the two solutions is needed, therefore a single ticket is enough?
*There are horizontal lines at several intervals, which cut the video display (as if unglued and layers overlap).
Sorry for my english, best regards!
