Description (last modified by )
The Ascii character for %7E disappears from a URL. The URL must be entered as www.host.dom/%7Elink rather than the tilde character.
The tilde character also disappears anywhere it is entered in WebPositive.
The tilde character precedes user web accounts on most of the older Sun Microsystem Web Server Appliances and on the BLue Onyx/CentOS web servers.

Works fine here too, so I suspect the deadkey tilde is the problem. Try this: http://tablix.org/~avian/blog/ not the same as: http://tablix.org/ãvian/blog

Are you sure? Tilde is a "dead key" and has (I think depending on your used keymap) hit twice to actually print the tilde symbol. See also in Terminal. I can enter e.g. http://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/tilde.html.
