Description (last modified by )
Scrolling inside a folder is much slower, if filenames are truncated. For example start ProcessController and open /boot/beos/bin/. Scroll several times with your mouse wheel to see how much cpu is used for such simple operation (already much higher than in R5) Decrease "Name" column width so filenames get truncated with "..." in the end. Now try to scroll with your mouse wheel, you should see 100% cpu usage.
