Description
This problem was described on a previous, closed ticket:
http://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/8001
After the splash screen, a black screen appears. The video becomes inoperative at that moment, but Haiku still runs ahead, and the drive can be heard as it loads data and sets things up. The OS catches a BRB (big red button) press and shuts down gracefully.
The graphics card is the Intel Mobile 945 Express Graphics (integrated). Booting the system into safe mode 800x600 VESA works fine. The normal resolution of the MSI (atom) netbook is 1024x600.
I have included attached listimage, listdev, syslog, and xrandr outputs for analysis. The xrandr follows output (from etch) follows:

I Just downloaded the latest nightly. Now the graphics work on my MSI netbook. I see "Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (i945GME)" in the Screen preferences app instead of VESA, and no longer need to start with safe mode. Thanx Axel!
Should be fixed with hrev45381 -- if not, please reopen.
